Our Garden
We have full use of the Halls' garden including our own vegetable plot where this year we have grown tomatoes, strawberries, and herbs.
Out & About
The children enjoy going out and about. The park is just across from the Village Centre, and a visit to the duck pond and local shops is always a popular short walk away. And just a short trip away is our local environment educational centre at Mop End.
Celebrations!
We like to recognise significant celebrations and especially any which are relevant to our children. These have included Australia Day, Japan Children's Day, Diwali, Chinese New Year, the patron saint days of the British Isles, as well as our epic annual Christmas production.
Other celebrations include National Fairy Tale Day (26th February) and the staff favourite, National Chocolate Cake Day (27th January, in case you were wondering!)
Visitors
The children love having visitors into pre-school to see them. Parents are always welcome to spend a morning with us, grandparents too. The Police Community Support Officer have visited us along with the Fire Brigade and their shiny (and loud) red fire engine. We had some animal visitors during Pet Week, such as guinea pigs, snakes, and a chicken (but not at the same time).
